OpenClaw is a local-first, open-source application designed to run entirely on your own device.

2. Data Collection and Usage

Because OpenClaw is an application that runs locally on your Mac or Windows machine:

  • Local Processing: All processing of your files, browser sessions, and personal data happens locally on your machine.
  • No Telemetry: We do not track how you use the application.
  • Authentication Data: When you sign into our website (e.g., via Google OAuth) to access the dashboard or manage a Pro subscription, authentication is handled securely by our auth provider (Clerk). We only receive the minimum information necessary (like your email address) to manage your account and subscription. We do not access or store your Google account data beyond what is required for authentication.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. If you use our Pro service, your requests to AI providers (like OpenAI or Anthropic) are routed through our proxy solely for API key fulfillment and quota tracking. The payloads of these requests are not stored or logged by us.

4. Third-Party Services

OpenClaw integrates with various third-party AI APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini). If you bring your own API keys, your data is sent directly from your machine to those providers, governed by their respective privacy policies. If you use OpenClaw Pro, your requests are routed to those providers. Please review the privacy policies of any AI service you elect to use.

OpenClaw is open-source software. You can review the entire source code on our GitHub repository to verify that we handle your data exactly as described in this policy.
